Quick answer: Use Split PDF for several output documents, Extract PDF Pages for one document containing selected pages, and Remove PDF Pages to discard pages while keeping the rest.
Choose the output you need
Suppose a 12-page report has a cover on page 1, a main section on pages 2–9 and appendices on pages 10–12. To send the main section alone, open Extract PDF Pages and enter 2-9. You receive one eight-page PDF.
To create separate files for the cover, body and appendices, use Split PDF and enter 1; 2-9; 10-12. Semicolons separate output files. Leave the field blank if you want one PDF for every page.
Use page positions rather than printed labels
Selections count from the first page in the file, starting at 1. A cover or a Roman-numbered contents page still counts, even when the first printed page number appears later. Check positions in your PDF reader before choosing a range.
Commas combine pages within a selection: 1,4-6 keeps pages 1, 4, 5 and 6. Extract PDF Pages follows your entered order, so 6,1-3 places page 6 first. Do not repeat the same page within a selection.
Delete unwanted pages and save a new copy
In Remove PDF Pages, enter the pages to discard, such as 1,10-12 for the example report. Remaining pages keep their original order. At least one page must remain.
After processing, use Download PDF for extraction or deletion. Split PDF offers Download ZIP: open the archive to access its individual PDFs. Check the page count and boundaries before sharing; your original file remains unchanged.
Troubleshooting
A page range is rejected
Use only whole page numbers, commas and hyphens within a selection. Check the document page count and remove duplicates. Semicolons are supported only in the Split PDF groups field.

Does extracting a scanned page make the text searchable?
No. Extracting preserves the page content. A scan remains an image unless it already has a text layer; OCR is a separate step.
